The Plaza design was commissioned to the Marrangoni company in the mid-1980s by the renowned American distributor Daniele La Posta - DLP International, who imported Tuscan vases to the United States for over 20 years. This model was protected by copyright to prevent imitation; today, plastic copies can be found on the market. The Campana Plaza, the flagship model of the collection, is available in five variants.
Despite being one of the most successful modern design models abroad, it was never particularly appreciated in the Italian market, which was more oriented towards a classical style at the time. Unlike the classic conical trunk vase, the Campana Plaza, which is essentially a basin, is distinguished by its curvature towards the bottom that narrows the base, slightly compromising stability in the event of strong winds or large plants.
The design is simple and sober, with a rounded upper edge and a wide central band composed of a convex part and two angled ends. Made with Tuscan clays, renowned for their resistance and richness in iron oxide, and fired following a long stabilization cycle, this vase is highly breathable, promoting the health of plant roots. It is available in the classic terracotta colors and the aged (Antiqua) finish.
